Miss Critch in a Nut Shell
As a student in my last semester of the faculty of education program, I'm am learning as much as I can to be the best teacher I can be. Being in this program has truly opened my eyes to everything that comes with teaching. Teaching is a profession that people enter not for the money but for the love of children and how we can help them become better citizens in the future. I personally chose this career because I love children, I love enhancing their lives, I do this because I believe in the students of the future. I knew I wanted to be in this career, since I was approximately 10, I knew this not only because I had some motivational teachers but also because I had some not so great teachers. I believe that the teachers that were not so great we're the push for me because I wanted to be the teacher that is able to make a difference, I want to be the one that changes the lives of the students to make them want to come to school. I am absolutely looking forward to starting my career in the near future but until that happens I will be keeping everyone updated.
I creating this site to help me become more involved with my own digital learning and to keep track of new technologies that I can use when I am a teacher. I also made sure to link them on my site for anyone that wants to have access to the sites they can. My blog is non-traditional and I understand that some users may get frustrated. The reason I chose to do this was because it is more visual appealing for myself. I personally enjoy being able to see my post side by side.
I also wanted to link my Personal Learning Network on my site and thought this was the best place to do it. Below is a sample of my Symbaloo, this is essentially a site that you add to your homepage online. This will continue to be updated as soon as I get a chance. Right now I have just included the sites that have come to me from the top of my head. These would be sites that I visit most frequently and by having it as my homepage I can just click and it takes me directly to that site. That's everything for now and I will keep updating and encouraging new teachers' to become technical and to use technology in their classrooms.
